It's a small place with a bad reputation. It can be a good night with some
mates, as long as it isn't on Saturday. Saturday will not pass without
they're being a couple of fights. Basically the people that go there on a
Saturday are looking for a fight. Friday nights can be a very relaxed
night with various DJ's making their debut and generally having fun.
Friday nights are the better nights if you are looking for a good night.
Thursday nights are more or less the same as Fridays but play indie music.
Anyway the place itself is a little rough, it has a definite lack of lights, but
the music does make up for it, not that it is loud, just that the tunes they
play are very good (although I haven't been there on a Saturday night).
You have to keep your eye on the posters on the door to see what tunes they are
playing due to so many different DJ's playing there. The bar is small with
two bar staff, who admittedly are quick. The range of drinks isn't great, but it
provides the normal beverages from lager, to alchopops, to shots. On a
normal night there are two doorman\bouncers who definitely have a presence even
when it gets busy. Talking of busy, it can get very busy and being a small
place it can get very uncomfortable. Upstairs there is a chill out room
although myself, I have not been up there as it is dark and dingy (Let's face
it, what they do up there is deal - DJ Ess). There ain't much more to
say about this place, except it is a great place to get pissed at because
everybody who goes there is on a mission to get pissed. Generally it is a night
out if you and some others ain't got much to do on a Friday night.
(Looks like we have to go again to get some photo's - although I'm a bit worried about getting the ol' Digicam out in a place like that - DJ Ess)
