Yes. If you go to The Plaza, make sure you are not driving. The only times I have been to The Plaza I have deliberately got absolutely hammered, because only then can you enjoy yourself. I haven't been now for over two years, and I really don't ever want to go back.

It was the place that everyone from school went, and still goes to. The place is full of sixteen year-olds, all hammered on one bottle of Hooch and thinking that they are the coolest people in the world just because they got into a nightclub.

The thing is, The Plaza just isn't worth bragging about, even if you are sixteen. The DJ's are okay, but the main room guy does things like drop a Steps song into the middle of a set of Big Beat and hard dance. Of course, all the little sixteen year olds love Steps, so they take over the dance floor and all do the crappy dances. Upstairs is a little better, if only because it is a little less likely that anyone will spot you up there.

On top of that, the staff seem to have the attitude that 'If you've paid, we don't have to be nice to you any more.' Bar staff spend all their time serving their mates, and once a mate of mine fell asleep, and was soon surrounded by a group of lads, who were obviously going to try and steal his wallet. I told a bouncer, and he said 'That's his problem.'

While were on the subject of security, it's almost non-existent, and one girl actually got raped there, for Christ's sake.

I guess it does have it's merits, the lights are okay and the music is quite good quality, and it was the first club I was in to play 'Back In The UK' by Scooter, but no. The Plaza is crap.

(Looks like we have to go again to get some photo's - damnit. Although, actually - DJ Ess)

This is a misc. review.
